PR Services

If you’re doing good business and want to spread the word to the people who matter, there are lots of ways we can help you share your stories.

Whether it’s raising your organisation’s profile in relevant media, positioning key people as thought-leaders in your industry, creating online content to drive people to your website, entering awards to reinforce your excellence and expertise, or finding new ways to support charities and your local community: the PR services we deliver are always focused on doing what PR does best, building long-term positive relationships and enhancing brand reputation.

Plain Speaking PR provides strategic PR and communications support for businesses, charities and organisations in Norwich, Norfolk and across the UK.

From media relations and PR strategy to crisis communications, copywriting, award entries and social media support, our experienced team will recommend the services most likely to strengthen your reputation, raise awareness and deliver measurable value.

But first … some questions

Before we dive headfirst into tactics, we need to do our research and get to know you better. What’s your ‘blow the budget’ ultimate goal? What are your short and medium-term objectives? Who do you need to reach and why? What’s the problem or opportunity you’re facing? We ask lots of questions in order to get to the right PR solution.

We’re committed to #PRforgood and that means we will only ever recommend investing in PR services that we truly believe will deliver the positive results and value you’re looking for.

Media
relations

We help our clients to identify stories and feature ideas that journalists want to receive. We research and write high-quality content and pitch it to the right media contacts at the right time. We also monitor the media landscape to spot trending topics and opportunities for our clients.

Copywriting

Well written and engaging content is essential for effective brand communication. Compelling copy is a must for websites, SEO, sales and marketing materials, social media, annual reports and award entries, to name just a few. We’ll ensure your content is interesting, professional and persuasive.

Community and charity engagement

As well as being a great way to motivate your team and support good causes, community and charity partnerships can be good for your bottom line and therefore your sustainability.

Event planning

Events need a clear purpose and to be remembered for the right reasons. Be it a launch, press preview, charity fundraiser, b2b conference, awards ceremony or exclusive VIP hospitality, we can help you plan, stage and host a memorable and meaningful event.

Award writing

Researching, planning, and writing award entries can sometimes slip down the to-do list. But entering and winning awards is a brilliant way to showcase what you do, and why you do it so well. If you’re confident that you’re delivering award-winning work, then it’s about time you were recognised for it. Plain Speaking PR will recommend which credible, industry award schemes to enter and manage the entire process for you. We write stand-out award entries for our clients, that grab attention, boost reputation, earn credibility and deliver real PR value.

Brand Vitals©

Your brand is far more than your name and logo; it is how you behave, what you do, what you say, and how you make your key audiences feel. The Plain Speaking PR Brand Vitals© process will help you really understand what your brand stands for and how you can best communicate that.

Issues management

Plain Speaking PR is trusted by clients to manage communications around complex and sensitive issues, ensuring reputations remain intact. If your business is going through a time of change or you’ve identified an organisational risk that could escalate, we can provide specialist crisis management support.

Social media management

Social media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn have become a fundamental way of communicating between organisations and their audiences. From individual campaigns to ongoing social media management, we can help you develop your online voice, generate relevant, owned content, build your followers and increase engagement.

Influencer engagement

Working with social media influencers and content creators can be beneficial for both consumer and B2B brands, but these relationships have to be well-managed. We help our clients identify and approach the most appropriate influencers to partner with.

The Power
of PR

Stephanie Callen, PR Expert

Steph began her career in communications almost 20 years ago as a journalist on local newspapers in Suffolk and Norfolk.

Every day involved meeting new people and writing about a diverse mix of topics, which gave Steph a real appreciation for the issues that affect people across the region and honed her ability to build trusted relationships.

When she left journalism to pursue roles in PR, Steph took her news instincts with her and has achieved valuable media coverage for organisations from a varied range of industries, including healthcare, education, housing and animal welfare.

Steph, a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, now brings her eclectic experience to Plain Speaking PR as a freelance consultant, supporting clients with bespoke copywriting, research and media pitching.

Outside of work, Steph enjoys family days out with her young daughter, cuddles with her rescue cat Clarence, a good thriller on the telly, and the – albeit occasional – run.

Pippa’s right-hand woman, she’s responsible for overseeing accounts, managing client agency relationships, and making sure we’re delivering a professional PR service that delivers real value, contributing to objectives and goals.
